Background: Gen Z criticized the corruption on social media using #GenZ #NepoBaby hashtags. On Aug 17, The Supreme Court ruled that online platforms must be registered before operating in Nepal. On Aug 25, the government asked social media to register in Nepal. On Sep 4, the government ordered a ban on all social media apps that do not register in Nepal until these apps register themselves and follow the rules of the country. Gen Z started the protest. Night: Nepal Army arrested 21 people involved in looting in various parts of Kathmandu during the night. 5 people were arrested trying to loot Rastriya Banijya Bank in Baneshwor.

8AM: about 250 detainees escaped from the Juvenile Detention Facility in Biratnagar.
10:00AM: Nepal Army issued a curfew order throughout the nation. UN chief secretary António Guterres requested peace for all parties.
10:00AM: Supreme Court postponed all the hearings indefinitely. All documents of cases including paper and computer servers have been destroyed during the fire yesterday.
10:30AM: Prisoners from Dillibazar prison set fire to the prison building and demanded to be released. They moved to different locations.
11:30AM: youths started to clean up the Baneshwor area with brooms and plastic bags.
12:00PM: protesters returned about 2 dozen arms to the Army. It was looted from Nepal police yesterday.
1:30PM: Prisoners from Kabhre district prison set fire to the prison building and demanded to be released.
3:30PM: about 72 detainees escaped from the Juvenile Detention Facility in Hetauda. 14 were taken back into custody. 58 at large.
12-8PM: about 15 GenZ representatives took part in hours long discussion with the Army Chief in Army High command as for the preparation before the formal talk with the President. As there is no centralised command among Gen Z protestors, there are said to be differences between themselves during the discussion. Some supported a republic system with a better version of democracy and some others supported the return of the King and abolition of federalism and secularism. Majority of them prescribed the name of ex Chief Justice Shushila Karki for the new PM after having voted on a discord social app.
The army also discussed with Dharan Mayor Harka Sampang and medical businessman Durga Prasai.
